Stepping Stones

Lately, I’ve had the urge to do something different. Something new. Something out of my comfort zone. I’ve always been one for big ideas, but I’ve never really been one to go out and achieve those. Even as I’m writing this, I doubt whether or not this is something that I should post here on my “professional” site, let alone publically anywhere.

However, as I continue to watch the ways of the world. The fear, anger, anxiety, confusion, and over-cautiousness that so many are feeling now, I believe there needs to come a time where we realize we have the right to be ourselves, we have the right to our opinions, and we have the right to be able to talk, discuss, and learn from one another.

So all that being said, I’m going to start something new. Two new things actually. First, I’m going to start actually working towards pursuing my goals. Some of them are insanely far-fetched, ideas that would take years to reach fruition if they ever do.

Secondly, I’m going to stop ignoring or suppressing my faith. I’m a Christian. I believe in the Bible. Jesus says in Matthew:

37 Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

Matthew 22:37-40 (NKJY)

It is with these two commandments in mind that I’ll continue to move forward. To keep an eye on my goals while ensuring they are what God wants me to do, and that it is respectful to those around me.

That’s really it for now. I’ll be looking to start doing some things with The Wickslo Company, building up some of the products and services I’d love to build up out of it. But, we’ll see how it goes. It’s about creating steps that are right for me, my wife, and staying in the will of God.

Blessings until next time,

Kevin
